Poll: vote for the mayor of Toronto

Vote in my poll for mayor of Toronto.  You will use a rank-order preferential ballot to select your preferred candidates for mayor.  One to be elected.  The order of candidates' names on the ballot have been randomly placed by the internet program.  You may vote once per day.

Hi, Skinny Dipper. Seeing as I only recognize less than a handfull of the names on the list, (yes, I'm a bad citizen) I'm afraid I won't be much help. However, I did rank two candidates. One of them at number one, and Rob Ford at number 25. I can't imagine anyone being more obnoxious than he is.

Thanks for taking the survey. It is not necessary to rank every name. Just to let you know. If you do not like a particular candidate, do not rank him/her.

Come back tomorrow.

Throughout the next few months, I will be posting the VOTE FOR MAYOR link on different Toronto news sites in their comments sections. I do want to get a broad sample--even if it is not purely scientific. I think the trends and vote switching may matter in the long run.

I'm pleased with the number of people who have taken the survey/poll. Even though it is not scientific, it does give a general trend of what may occur during the next few months. Keep voting. I will be providing links on Toronto based websites and a few national ones in their comment sections. I do want a broad sample.

Great idea, now get one up for all the wards so voters can do the same for councillors! Peter CLARKE
